Artist: The Rinear Trio

The Rinear Trio, Glen, Jack and Ronnie were making some wonderful sounds out California way as a trio during the 50s, 60s and early 70s Now, finallya commercial album is available to the public of this wonderful small group Western Swing Music.

Glen is heard on tenor vocals and plays some of the hottest and most enjoyable fiddle licks that will thrill any fan of Western Swing or of that instrument. Ronnie played bass fiddle and did the harmony vocal in the group. Jack, the only living member of the trio, played guitar and was the primary vocalist for the group.

The album includes 30 tunes that range from Western Swing classics such as Squaws Along The Yukon from Hank Thompson, Chattanooga Shoeshine Boy from Leon McAuliffe and Beaumont Rag from Bob Wills to pop standards such as Dream, I Need You Now and Mona Lisa. Also included are many of the close harmony Western sounds so reminiscent of the Sons of the Pioneers. These include Cool Water, Cimarron and Sierra Nevada among others. The album also includes four original tunes from the pen of Jack Rinear, the most famous of which I Reckon I'm A Texan was recorded by Tommy Duncan with the Miller Brothers band and has become a Western Swing classic.
